Sliding Scale

Care scholarships.

To widen access, a limited number of care scholarships are available for clients without insurance or the means to pay full rates. If that reflects your circumstances, please inquire. Scholarships are funded through the practice's charitable arm.

Please note: scholarship clients aren't eligible for insurance superbills or reimbursement.

Insurance & Private Pay

Why this practice is private pay.

This practice is private pay / out-of-network and doesn't bill insurance directly. Payment is due on the day of service.

  • ·Greater privacy — no diagnosis shared with insurance
  • ·Freedom to choose your therapist and treatment path
  • ·Continuity of care regardless of insurance changes
  • ·No restrictions on telehealth

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

Using your benefits.

If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Monthly superbills are available on request.

To check your coverage, ask your insurer

  • ·Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits?
  • ·What percentage or amount is reimbursed for therapy?
  • ·Are LMHCA services and telehealth included?
  • ·What is my deductible, and has it been met?
  • ·What documentation is required for reimbursement?

Initial Consultation

A free 20-minute phone consultation.

A free 20-minute phone consultation is available to see whether we're a good fit. We'll talk through what you're looking for, you'll hear more about how I work, and I'll answer your questions.

Pre-Intake Paperwork

Before your first appointment.

First appointments require completed pre-intake paperwork. After your consult, you'll receive a link to complete consent forms, practice policies, payment details, and intake questionnaires. If you'd like help along the way, just reach out.

Cancellations & Attendance

Respecting our time together.

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a charge. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee. Exceptions include emergencies (accident, hospitalization, death in the family) and severe illness, reviewed case by case. Clients with recurring sessions may cancel no more than twice in a row within a six-month period; three consecutive cancellations may end ongoing treatment.

Illness Policy (In-Person Sessions)

To protect community health: if you're unwell, we'll switch to telehealth or reschedule with notice. If mild residual symptoms remain, please mask when attending in person. The 24-hour policy still applies, with emergencies reviewed individually.

Additional Services & Fees

Beyond the session.

Extended sessions, documentation, care coordination, and after-hours calls are billed at your prorated session rate for every 15 minutes beyond your session time. You'll always be told in advance before any additional fee is incurred.

Good Faith Estimate

Your right to know the cost.

Under federal law, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate explaining what your care will cost. This is available to anyone not billing insurance. You can request one at any time.

Social Media & Communication

Protecting your confidentiality.

To protect your confidentiality, I don't accept friend requests or engage with clients through personal social media. I may share general wellness content publicly, but those accounts aren't secure or monitored for therapeutic communication — please don't use them to reach me about therapy or emergencies. We'll set up secure channels within our work together.
